The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan affect all of us, and for most us, the fight never leaves our borders. Soldiers that go overseas leave behind families that struggle to fill in the gaps and cope with the absence they feel. Heart of a Shepherd is the story of a young man trying to find his place in the world; trying to figure out who he wants to be; and how to become that person while his father is fighting a war.
